Thanksgiving 2006

As you can see from the pics, we had a nice little Thanksgiving. It was one of "those" Thanksgivings. You know the kind where everyone sleeps in... you don't start cooking until the afternoon only to realize at 3:30 that you forgot evaporated milk and will NOT be having pumpkin pie because the store closed at 3! :-) But it was fun and it was Asher's first Thanksgiving so we had to get lots of pics of him eating real food from the table! It was also our first Thanksgiving in the new house, so we had an enjoyable time together being thankful for all the many blessings this past year.

Now as the holiday is approaching we're gearing up for Christmas. Alex and Kristen will be coming up to visit, so it will be LOTS of fun. Judah doesn't know it yet, but we got him a little powered ride on toy that looks like a John Deere for Christmas and Asher will be content with watching everything and getting something new and fun to suck on! :-) We'll try to take lots of pictures and post them after Christmas!

The Kitchen...

So I must say when I first saw the kitchen, the first thing that came to mind was "scary!" It's since gotten better and is a continual work in progress. We did manage to fit all our kitchen stuff in it! Well almost all of it! :-) Our long term goal for this kitchen is to take the door out, take out the dividing wall between kitchen and dining area and then have a U shaped kichen. That's our dream... so we're saving our pennies. We've been having fun the the kitchen, it just takes talent to get 2 people both cooking to fit in. :-) Enjoy all the pics!

All I can say about this one is "Moving in" and no we didn't plan to have the Budget truck outside the window like that. :-D Serendipity.

We didn't do much to the bathroom. We just added a few things which you can see in the pics. It's pretty self-explanatory.

The Boys Room...

Here are the before/afters of the boys room. This room is 10 ft by 11 ft. We tore out the closet (little boys need more space than they need a closet) and the carpet. We then painted and put in new carpet. Enjoy this pics. This is my fav. room.
